New document shredding plant open for business

In June Ecogen Recycling unveiled their new self-contained document shredding plant. Now cages of pre-sorted archive documents are tipped, using a rotating folk lift attachment, into the AXO-704HH shredder then the shredded paper is conveyed directly into the Presona LP50 automatic baler. This setup, designed by Presona UK, reduces manual handling and increases shredding capacity to 250 tonnes per week . James Lewis (commercial director) explains “Now we have two automatic balers working in tandem we can process materials quicker so we have more space to turn lorries around faster. Such a growth in capacity allows us to offer our suppliers even better rebates for their materials”.
