Meet the Team
Joined Ecogen in 2013 with a remit to establish the company’s commercial department and expand our customer base. James is responsible for the company’s commercial operations in the UK and Europe with an additional remit for Human Resources. With a diverse background from both the I.T and health and fitness industry, James is a keen cricketer, skier and squash player in his spare time. He is married to Amy and lives in Buckinghamshire. James holds a BA in Management and Statistics from Exeter University, and is a Director of a number of other companies within the health and fitness industry.
Accounts / Director
Megan Joined Ecogen in 2013 and is responsible for process management with an additional remit for finance. With a background in leisure and hospitality management , Megan is an avid reader with an interest in cooking, health and wellbeing. She is married to Will with whom she has two children, and lives in Hampshire. Megan read Psychology at The University of Hull.
William has been working the plastic recycling industry since 2005. In 2010 William founded Ecogen Recycling Ltd and based operations out of a small site in Winchester, Hampshire. By January 2015 the company had out-grown its surroundings and relocated operations to a three acre site in Alresford, Hampshire. As MD, William remains highly involved with operations and has continued guiding the business through constant growth, into profitability now with a multi-million pound annual turnover. In his limited spare time, William will be found cruising around Hampshire on various motorbikes or spending time with family.
Joined Ecogen in 2016, initially as a Site Operative. Following the company’s expansion, Tom was invited to take over the running of our production team, which he did with great success and in 2018 he accepted promotion to the role of Operations Supervisor. With a background in port operations, Tom is a keen rugby player and fitness enthusiast. He is married to Melanie, and lives in Hampshire.
Joined Ecogen in 2014, initially within our commercial department. Following the acquisition of our Alresford site, Toby was invited to take over the running our operations department. Toby is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations at our Alresford facility. With a background in the sales & construction industry, Toby is a keen shot and rowing coach. He is married to Grace, and lives in Buckinghamshire.

Liam joined Ecogen’s commercial buying department in 2018. Liam brings a raft of experience with him having worked in sales management positions for eleven years with companies such as Dun & Bradstreet, Experian and BGGroup PLC. He is also a qualified personal trainer, keen snowborder and squash player so likes to keep as active as possible in his home county of Berkshire.
Hanna joined the company in 2015 having had a background in hospitality management. Her role is to find and buy as much commercial recycling waste as possible this involves; lead generation, attending site meetings and ultimately negotiation skills. Her background helps her deliver a very high level of customer service to her account management style. In her spare time, Hanna will be found visiting art exhibitions or watching tv boxsets.
Dan joined the commercial team here at Ecogen Recycling in 2018. Dan’s background has mainly been in the snow sports industry in particular setting up his own ski school based in France back in 2014. With further sales and management experience in the fitness industry in addition to being a qualified personal trainer Dan brings a variety of skills to his new role. Dan has a passion for his food as well as sports such as rugby, skiing and surfing. When he is not in the office he is likely to be found in the gym or on the golf course.
Accounts and Book keeping
Max lives in Alresford with her family and runs her own accounts consultancy, Indigo Consultancy of which Ecogen has been a customer since 2016. Max is a often in and out of the office and is seen very much as another member of the team.
Joined Ecogen in 2015, initially as our administrator weighbridge operator and administrator. Following the company’s expansion, Mel was invited to take over the running of all office and admin functions of the company. With a background in personnel and administration, Mel is a keen rugby supporter and fitness enthusiast. She is married to Tom, and lives in Hampshire with their son.
Administration and Weighbridge Operator
Sophie joined Ecogen in 2018, her role is Weighbridge Operator and Administration in our new weighbridge office. Sophie has worked in Early Years Education and management until now, she previously managed a Nursery School in Hampshire which has provided her in vast skills in administration and working with people. In her spare time Sophie enjoys upcycling her furniture projects, or meals out with friends and spending time with her nephews in their home town of Alresford.
